Pipe purchasing
Turning recovered and surplus material into value, as part of the project rather than after it.

Recovery that pays for
part of the removal.
Most of the pipe that comes out of the ground is worth more than scrap — but only if somebody cleans it, tallies it and grades it before it leaves the site.
We can purchase recovered material outright as part of a removal or decommissioning scope, which means the recovery is credited against the project rather than handled as a separate transaction months later.
Where purchasing fits into a project
Pipeline removals
Material recovered during take-up purchased as it comes off the right-of-way.
Decommissioning
Pipe and material from retired systems bought rather than written off.
Surplus inventory
Overrun and unused material sitting on a laydown yard.
Retired pipe
Line pipe out of service and still on the books.
Project material recovery
Equipment and material recovered alongside pipeline and facility scopes.
Coated material
Coal tar enamel and epoxy coated pipe, cleaned in-house rather than discounted as scrap.
Cleaned pipe is an asset.
Coated pipe is a problem.
Coated pipe is usually priced as scrap because most buyers cannot deal with the coating. We can, so we can pay for it as pipe.
That single difference is what turns a disposal line item into a recovery, and it is the reason our removal and environmental capability sit inside the same company.
